Countdown to E-day
I’m getting engaged soon…heheh… i’m not excited nor nervous right now, cos what’s stopping me from feeling so is bcos of my darn-why-is-it-so-difficult-thesis which i have been working on for months now. I’m sure when the time comes, i’ll be sweating like pig…not that i know pigs sweat a lot, metaphorically speaking.
And, i know some ppl might think that im boasting about my relationship…as if i want to show off telling ppl that im getting engage, but i’m doing this post out of favour for my bestfriend who’s currently bored to death with her work today, and she suggested me to blog abt my E-day, so she would have something interesting to read.
Ah, whatever! Once a skeptic, always a skeptic. anyways, my fiance and I, had made basic preparations for the big day…rings, tickets, accommodations, stuffs for the traditions. And we’re careful not to go over-budget cos the economy is bad these days. I try not to waste so much on bullcraps (studio photos for example), but i’d rather waste on food for my friends, family and my new family. My dad insisted on inviting some of our extended family members over, whom I may or may not have met, or never had any significant presence in my life before to my engagement…(i’m not too keen about this cos it’s just an engagement)…i bet when i die, they wouldn’t bother come to my funeral, they might say (wha?? Jasmine who? i dunno her). It’s only an engagement for goodness sake. Out of respect for my dad, I agreed. He’s the boss. Yeah, and i bet at this moment, the skeptics would shake their head, eish…she sound so snobbish. *clap* *clap* haha i’m so paranoid, but i know these skeptics.
I’m actually more excited that i’ll be meeting some of my good and close friend and that they’ll gonna witness the occasion…and meeting my new family. I guess there’ll be more responsibilty being someone’s fiancee, and this is just tip of the iceberg. There’ll be bigger responsibility once your someone’s wife. What do i know anyway? Half my friends my age, are married now, with and yet to have kids…some are engaged and some just started dating. Only few are still single. And I’m very, very happy for them.
Partner or partnerless, the point to matter is, you must stay healthy, happy happy, joy joy, and always have faith in yourself, the people around you and God! (just my two cents to all friends who think their life is not turning out the way they want to be). Always be thankful for what you have. Panjang pulak my speech here…i guess im still a politician at heart, giving people hope and all with what i say and if it does come true, people like me, and if it doesn’t, people end up hating me.
What am i talking about? i should be talkin abt my engagement nia. Oh yeah, ahhaha my fiance and i will be wearing green attire on that day. Not exactly matching greens lah, his is light baby green and mine would be striking green. We’ve picked out gold rings…with simple design…right within our budget range. Since both of us are the VIPS on that day, and both our dslrs are free from our hands, i’m trying to see who i can get to become photographer for that day…and that person may or may not be able to be in the picture of course ahhaha. U pandai2 la enter frame later k. I hope everything goes well. Basic preparations done, now to worry about the food prep and the actual day. Eh, i forgot, my bibik from KL coming over to help me, so nothing worry about (winks at Rachel) hahahaha. Pray for me friends, so that i don’t get zits on my face at the last moment. Konon don’t sound excited, but when i read through to what i’ve typed out earlier…ahhaha sounds like i’m extremely excited. ahahhaha shame on me. ok lah, i admit it, im excited. Hence the long post. I’m sure that most of my friends are aware of my big event in May… to those who don’t, the E-day is on the 31st May 2009, at 9.30 am (don’t ask why it’s in the morning) and 7pm on the same day at my house in Miri. hehehe if u know where it is, just come over, if u dun know, maybe cos ur not that close enough with me, ahha kidding la, u can always pm me for my address.
